Aunt Beth gave the kids this big box which has turned out to be a favorite plaything. Recently the big kids made a house out of it for Logan. Sophie hosts tea parties inside with Logan as an honored guest. Note the convenient attic storage for broom and vacuum.
The older kids help Logan to color the cardboard.
Thank you big brother!

Great pictures! They are so kind to their little brother!
I have pics of my gang doing this too. The can play with the simplest things for hours but spend a lot of money on a toy and it gets ten minutes of play. Go figure! LOL
That's a great playhouse!
I love the frescoes and maps that you did! I've gotten out of the habit of making messes with the kids, but really need to do it again! :)
I totally identify with your museum visit several years ago. I've repressed some similar memories involving stern docents! At least he (she?) also noticed when they were well behaved and looking at the paintings! :)
boxes are the best things. boxes and blankets and imaginations.
So creative! Boxes make the best toys...and the price is right too!

Oh, how I love the imaginations of children when you give them a box!
Sweet, sweet pictures!
I remember my dad making me a house out of two large appliance boxes. It had windows and doors and painted flower boxes. I was so sad when it bit the dust, but yet it lasted for a long time on our back porch! It probably gave me more pleasure than a pre-molded plastic thing that cost a chunk of cash ever could have. Wow, big brother was doing some detailed coloring work, too!
I giggle... why... because boxes are always the best toys... you can guy the most expensive toy at Christmas, but the box and the paper is hwere its at!
The picture of your littleman hugging his bubba is adorable...
