My china cabinet, in the dining room, was given to me by my grandparents. I enjoyed having china displayed in the dining room, but practicality won out. I moved all of the displayed china into a kitchen cabinet and moved the schoolroom supplies to the cabinet. At first, I intended to hang curtains inside the glass doors to hide the clutter, but then I found baskets at Target which sufficiently contained the supplies while still looking nice (I think). Here is the end result:
I am thankful that the supplies are hidden so that the dining room doesn't look cluttered! Works for Me! (Now what to do with my pathetic plants...)
P.S. The time change definitely does NOT work for me!

You always have great tips! I have been thinking about fabric choices for the fridge memo board for a while and I think I will make my own. Looking forward to next weeks tip...
I love this idea. I have also started using baskets as storage. I really like those that you got at Target and yes they do look nice.
I love this tip! I have a built in server cabinet and it is filled with art supplies. Every time I open the doors it looks messy. I will definitely try this to make it look more organized. I wish I didn't lack the organizational gene!
It looks great! I just love baskets, and someday I want to have all my closets, not to mention visible areas, organized with baskets rather than plastic containers and cereal boxes. A girl can dream, right?
Great idea! I've only got one homeschooling, the other is a toddler so there is enough room for curriculum on a converted T.V. cart in the corner behind the door to the dining room. Baskets are our friends too!
what an excellent idea, good for art supplies too.
I like the layout of your blog, very clean and organized and coordinated. Nice.
hee hee! I posted about this wonderful basket solution a couple of weeks ago. It is a great camoflauge! I agree that it looks nice! :^D
I use the china cabinet for school supply storage, too!!! How funny. It works like a charm, doesn't it?
